Happy New Year, NASCAR fans.
The 2016 season was an emotional roller coaster for many, starting with a photo finish in the Daytona 500, and ending with Jimmie Johnson scoring his record-tying seventh championship in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series.
Change is on the horizon for the 2017 season, including a new name for its premier series: Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. Also, Stewart-Haas Racing is switching to Ford, with a new driver wheeling its No. 14 car.
While those are things we already know will be different at the start of the season, there are still plenty of unknowns. We made a list of five of the biggest questions we have heading into the 2017 NASCAR season.
